The 37-year-old actor shared the painful news on Instagram late Saturday, posting a black-and-white photo of the couple’s hands gently cradling tiny footprints — the only physical memory they will have of their baby.
“With broken hearts we share that our sweet baby was born still,” Thieriot wrote. “Lexi went into labor and delivered our beautiful child who we will never get to hold, watch grow, or hear say ‘Dada.’ This pain is unlike anything we’ve ever known.”The couple, married since 2013, are already parents to sons Beaux (7) and Maximus (5). They had excitedly revealed the pregnancy earlier this year, with Thieriot joking on social media about becoming “outnumbered” by three kids.

“Lexi is the strongest person I know,” he continued in the emotional caption. “She carried our baby with so much love and now carries this grief with unimaginable grace. We are shattered, but we are holding onto each other and our boys tighter than ever.”Thieriot asked for privacy during this unimaginable time while thanking the medical team who cared for his wife. “We feel your love and are so grateful for it,” he added.
Within hours, the post was flooded with thousands of messages from heartbroken fans and fellow celebrities. “Yellowstone” star Cole Hauser, Thieriot’s co-star in the upcoming “Fire Country” spin-off, wrote, “Brother, I’m gutted for you. Sending all our love.” Actress Sarah Wayne Callies simply posted a broken-heart emoji alongside, “There are no words.”
Stillbirth affects roughly 1 in 160 pregnancies in the United States, yet the topic remains painfully taboo. Thieriot’s raw honesty has already sparked an outpouring of similar stories from followers who have quietly carried the same grief. As Hollywood rallies around one of its most down-to-earth stars, the Thieriot family begins the long journey of healing — forever a family of five, with one precious child now watching over them.
