Why Did Eric Graise Leave 'Tracker'? How 'Tracker' Season 3 Wrote Off Bobby | Decider
In a tragedy that has stunned Hollywood and fans worldwide, Eric Graise, the inspiring actor who played the tech genius on CBS’s hit series Tracker, has died by suicide at age 34 following complications from a groundbreaking but ultimately unsuccessful leg transplant surgery.Known for his infectious charisma and unapologetic representation of disability on screen, Graise had lived with a physical disability since childhood. After years of relying on a prosthetic leg, the actor made the courageous decision to undergo a rare and highly complex leg transplant procedure — one of the first of its kind attempted in the United States — in hopes of regaining natural movement and sensation.

Sources close to the actor revealed that while the transplant initially appeared successful, severe complications arose in the months following surgery. Graise’s new foot began turning sharply inward, a painful condition known as equinovarus deformity, rendering it nearly impossible to walk or even bear weight. Chronic nerve pain and repeated rejection episodes reportedly took a devastating emotional and physical toll.
“Eric fought harder than anyone I’ve ever known,” a longtime friend told reporters through tears. “He wanted so badly to run, to dance, to just feel the ground under real feet again. When the body rejected the leg and the pain became unbearable, something inside him broke.”Despite ongoing psychological support and the outpouring of love from co-stars Justin Hartley, Fiona Rene, and the entire Tracker family, Graise quietly ended his life last week at his Los Angeles home. He was found with a handwritten note expressing gratitude for his career and apologizing for the pain his decision would cause.

Graise’s death has reignited conversations about the psychological impact of chronic pain, the limits of experimental surgeries, and the silent struggles faced by disabled performers in an industry that celebrates them on camera but often forgets them off it.CBS and Tracker producers released a joint statement: “Eric was more than a brilliant actor — he was a beacon of resilience and joy. We are shattered by this loss and committed to honoring his legacy both on and off screen.”

Fans have flooded social media with tributes under the hashtag #ForEric, sharing how his fearless portrayal of disability helped them embrace their own differences.Eric Graise leaves behind a body of work that redefined representation — and a community forever changed by his light, now tragically extinguished far too soon.
