We are deeply saddened to share the sadness of Abby McEnany as the actress confirms she will… See more
According to reliable sources from Deadline and TV Insider, two of Tracker’s main actors – Abby McEnany (Velma Bruin) and Eric Graise (Bobby Exley) – have officially left the main cast ahead of the third season, which is scheduled to premiere on October 19, 2025. The decision was announced on July 20, 2025, leaving fans heartbroken and raising much speculation about the future of the series. With Justin Hartley (Colter Shaw) and Fiona Rene (Reenie Green) as the only two main actors left, Tracker seems to be shifting gears to focus more on the “lone wolf” aspect of the main character.

Velma Bruin, played by Abby McEnany, was an important figure in Colter Shaw’s support system. As his handler, Velma not only found cases for Colter, but also brought a mature, life-experienced perspective. Her presence, along with his wife Teddi Bruin (Robin Weigert, who left after season 1), created a special, family-like bond with Colter. Meanwhile, Bobby Exley, played by Eric Graise, was a talented hacker who provided crucial technical information like tracking cameras and analyzing data. Both characters were integral to Colter’s case-solving, and their departures left a huge void.

While an official reason for McEnany and Graise’s departure has not been released, many fans believe it could be a creative move to freshen up the storyline. According to TV Insider, Tracker could introduce new characters or increase the roles of familiar faces like Randy (Chris Lee), who appeared in season two as Bobby’s replacement hacker for a few episodes. However, the loss of Velma and Bobby has raised concerns that the balance between Colter’s individual actions and the support of the team will be disrupted. Will Reenie Green be able to shoulder more responsibility, or will Tracker shift to a completely different style, focusing on guest characters and individual stories?
Velma and Bobby’s departure isn’t the first change in Tracker. Previously, Robin Weigert (Teddi Bruin) left the series after the first season, with the reason explained in the show that Teddi was taking care of her mother. However, the absence of both Velma and Bobby in season three may not be explained in detail on screen, which has left some fans feeling disappointed. However, with Justin Hartley, who is also an executive producer, and the creative team behind Tracker at the helm, viewers can expect a new season full of surprises and excitement.
